I’m still catching my breath after winning the 1st Price Ribbon in the portrait division at the State Fair this year. I captured this just a week before I needed to submit my competition prints for the fair. The farrier just happened to be in the barn and enjoyed being my “model.” Of course, the title is “Getting Your Nails Done.” 🙂
If you are not familiar with State Fair photography competition, Professional Photography is judged on a much stricter scale versus the amateurs. So professionals are all judged within their own group to make things fair. I am friends with most of these pros, and let me say, there are some amazing photographers in this state!!!! To win the top prize for portraits is quite an honor.
On a side note, last year I won “Best Of Show” at the State Fair, which is the ulimate prize. It was for my portrait “Aquavision.”
Here’s this years winning image. Visit the fair and see this and more in person!! Cheers!!!
